Tigers News · Region Literary 2nd place


Metter High School Performing and Production Arts competed in the Region AA Literary Competition on Tuesday, March 5th, at Vidalia Comprehensive High School Prep and took 2nd place overall.  Savannah Cowart took 1st place for Argumentative Essay, and Angel Grove took 1st place for Girls Solo.  Allison Chassereau took 2nd place for Dramatic Oral Interpretation; Angel Grove, Adrien Bryant, and Trashawna Clark placed 2nd for Girls Trio; Sylvester Williams took 2nd place for Boys Solo; Kaitlyn Dekle took 2nd place for International Extemporaneous Speaking; and Lake Blackburn, Jalen Sutton, Nick Washington, and Sylvester Williams took 2nd place for Boys Quartet.  Jalen Sutton and Adrien Bryant took 3rd place for Duo Oral Interpretation.  Jalen Sutton took 4th for Humorous Oral Interpretation, and Emma Dustin took 4th for Rhetorical Essay. Samuel O’Conner took 5th place for Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, and Melissa Reyes took the place for Narrative Essay.  Other literary team members included: Nia Forbes, Abby Kea, Marty Myers, and Dalantae Hicks   Savannah Cowart and Angel Grove will go on to compete at the Region AA State Literary Competition at Veterans High School on Saturday, March 16th
