Spring Football

Spring Football will start Monday May 5th at MHS.   The Tigers will have 2 weeks of practice that will culminate with a Scrimmage at the old Jungle on Friday May 16th at 6:00.  Public is invited, admission is free(laundry detergent donation).  GO TIGERS!!!

Keondre Williams commits to West Georgia

Keondre Williams signed his letter of intent to attend the University of West Georgia on a Football Scholarship.  Keondre is a 4 year starter in Football for the Tigers.  He was recognized earlier as Region 2AA player of the year.  Congratulations on a great accomplishment and good luck.  GO TIGERS!!

Coach Ray Tootle Honored at Banquet

Coach Ray Tootle was honored at the Football Banquet last Sunday for his years of service and commitment to Metter High School and the community.  Coach Tootle has been involved with Metter High School as a Teacher/Coach/Administrator since 1973.  He has broadcast MHS Football games for the past 40 years.  He is retiring this year

Football at Jeff Davis Friday

MHS Tiger FB Team will battle the Jaff Davis Yellow Jackets this Friday in Hazelhurst.  Both teams are coming into the contest with 6-3 records.  The winner will earn a spot in the state playoffs.  Kickoff is at 7:30.  GO TIGERS!!!

POW – Bryan Co

POW vs Bryan Co 10/19  Elijah Dekle and Danny Cheely were awarded Defensive/Offensive players of the week for their performance vs Bryan Co last Friday.   Dekle had 137 yards rushing and 3TDs for the offense.  Cheely lead the defense with 2 interceptions to seal the victory for the Tigers.  The player of the week award
